Responsibilities:
· Operate and drive a truck carrying dangerous goods in a safe and efficient manner
· Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding the transportation of dangerous goods
· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and its cargo to ensure their safety and integrity
· Properly label and secure the cargo to prevent any spills or leaks during transport
· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, other drivers, and other personnel to ensure timely and safe delivery of the cargo
· Monitor and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including checking and refilling fluids, changing tires, and performing routine maintenance
· Keep accurate records of cargo and vehicle inspections, maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport
· Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents, spills, or other incidents involving dangerous goods
Requirements:
Must have minimum Code 08 Driver’s license with PDP Dangerous Goods Certificate Undertakings - Criminal and Credit Check
· Valid Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in driving dangerous goods trucks
· Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the transportation of hazardous materials
· Ability to read and interpret shipping papers, manifests, and other transport-related documents
· Physical ability to load and unload hazardous materials
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
· Strong attention to detail and safety-oriented mindset
· Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel across the country
